The pre-production stages
- Design & Development
- We work from your design, sketch or brief and develop it into a manufacturable specification. Creative direction stays with your team; our role is technical development.
- Pattern Making & Prototyping
- Pattern makers produce the technical pattern and dossier for each piece, and prototypes are made and reviewed until the construction is correct.
- Material Sourcing
- Leathers, skins, textiles and components are sourced through established European supplier relationships, and confirmed at prototype stage.
Why prototyping decides the production run
Construction, tolerances, hardware and finishing are all resolved on the prototype. Once the sample is approved it becomes the reference for manufacturing and for quality control, so the decisions taken here define what a production run looks like.
Because the same atelier handles development and manufacturing, there is no handover to a third-party factory: the people who made the prototype are the people who produce it.
What happens next
Approved prototypes move into manufacturing, in small batches or full production, followed by quality control before delivery. The full sequence is set out on our manufacturing process page.
